NCS Rates & Fees
Northland Computer Solutions staff work mostly after normal business hours; however, you can contact the staff nearly any time of any day via email or telephone. If you require work to be done between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., special arrangements must be made.
Pricing Packages

Annoyances $35.00
Virus/Spyware removal, fix startup error messages. (1 hour)
Annoyances+ (optional) $25.00/hour for additional time required to clean/fix system.

Performance $55.00
"Annoyances" package plus full cleaning of computer (inside & out), defragmentation of drive, scan disk, optimization, apply latest Windows patches.

Performance+ $85.00
"Performance" package plus installation of available free updates to installed programs and device drivers & interior fan/cable replacement when needed.

The Works $105.00
"Performance+" package plus reinstallation of system with newest available free device drivers and programs.
Optional: Hard drive image backup stored by NCS for future reference. (Restoration of image to your computer in the future is $40.00.)
Note: Customer must supply legitimate disks/licenses for any software that would be installed on the computer. Purchase cost of additional software/licenses to be installed will be added to charge. (See policy below.)
Other Rates

Bench Fee $35.00
Includes pick-up & delivery of the computer. Applies to repairs or services not in a pricing package above.

House Call $40.00/hour
On-site software or hardware/periphrial troubleshooting, network & internet connection problems.

Hardware Installation $35.00 (No bench fee.)
Includes pick-up & delivery of computer. Covers installing CD/DVD drives, PCI/AGP cards, additional hard drives to be used with current OS install, memory.
If new hardware needs to be purchased, cost of hardware will be added to the charge.

Hardware replacement $35.00/hour (No bench fee.)
Covers replacing components such as faulty power supplies, memory, PCI/AGP cards, CD/DVD drives, hard drives.
If new hardware needs to be purchased, cost of hardware will be added to the charge.

PHP Web Development Quoted on a per-job basis or hourly rates. Rates fluctuate according to complexity of project, deadlines and available time.

Website Updates $45.00/hour (Billed in 5 minute increments)
Includes time for correspondence, file transfers, changing of content (links, images, text).

Website Consulting $70.00/hour (Billed in 15 minute increments)
For when you would like assistance via phone, email, IM or in person while planning your website navigation, content, or which technologies to use. (Travel expenses additional charge.)

Repair Policy
Northland Computer Solutions under no circumstance will install pirated or other illegitimate software or hardware on or in a customer's computer system. If illegitimate software is provided to NCS, the customer will be notified and work will cease on system until a solution has been worked out. (Not installing that software product, purchasing a legitimate copy, etc.)
Quotes given for repairs by NCS are only estimates (unless part of a pricing package). If a job will require more work than originally quoted or other problems arise, the technicians will stop work on the system and notify the customer at which point an agreement will need to be made before additional work will be performed.
Computer Pick-up & Delivery Policy
Pick-up and delivery of computer systems within approximately 30 miles of Chisholm is covered by our bench fee. Other services may also include pick-up and delivery.
